We never anticipate an injury, but should one occur, the group will stop riding, notify the SAG, then assess the rider's ability to safely continue. If required, the SAG will call 911 and request an ambulance. The SAG will stay with the injured rider until the ambulance arrives. If the injury is less serious, the injured rider may choose to ride with the SAG for the rest of the day, or the SAG may take you to the nearest urgent care. Because of this unlikely situation, we are requiring emergency contact information from everyone. If you haven’t already, please send your emergency contact name, number, and relationship to the ride coordinator. The SAG will be provided this info on Saturday and again on Sunday. Providing this information not only protects you but everyone else as well. Without it, we could potentially lose the SAG for the rest of the day which would risk the other riders. Also note that the SAG will be carrying a basic medical kit for washing and treating simple cuts and scratches.

Read the section on our crossing of the Tangipahoa River Bridge on Hwy 22. We need everyone working together with the SAG for safety. It's colored red for easy location.
